NOVEMBER 1963     ARMY CERTIFICATE OF EDUCATION       SENIOR TEST         MAP READING         Time allowed - 2½ hours         NOTE :- (a) Attempt ALL questions. All questions carry   equal marks.   (b) You will be issued with one foolscap sheet of  graph paper for use in answering any question.  You must write your Index No. on it and  insert it in A.B. 4 to be handed in with your  completed paper. You will also be issued  with paper for measuring.   (c) All rough work will be shown and submitted.   (d) Work done on the map should not be erased.         The paper is based on Ordnance Survey one inch to one  mile map of FALKIRK. MAGNETIC NORTH was 8° 30' W.  of GRID NORTH in June 1959. Annual change 9' E.       1.  An Observation Post has been established at Spot Height 1170 at 754828. Will the observer in this OP be able to see the following points:-   (a) the lake at 769832;   (b) Bend in road at 728807;   (c) Bridge at 741835;   (d) Corner of wood at 757840?   Give reasons for your answers and support them with diagrams where necessary.               [TURN OVER
