Vol.3.No.3. November 1962 |
COOKING. |
The Cooking hobby is run by 2/Lt. Rouleston, the Messing Officer, with the help of Staff Sgt. Raines. |
There are approximately 25 boys in the hobby which is now almost a year old. |
Although nobody has yet achieved Gold Award standard, there are 7 boys, who, on the 14th November will attempt to gain this standard. J/Gnr Mills, A Coy, is the hobby's head boy and is said to have flatly refused an offer made by Mr. Rouleston to join the A.C.C. Another old sweat of the hobby is J/L/Cpl. Robertson D Coy, who, with Mills, is one of the candidates for the Gold Award. |
Everyone is allowed the free use of the kitchen and all implements, within reason, of course. All the dinners for sporting hobbies are cooked by the boys. As well as these dinners, they help to cook and serve late teas and suppers. |
