Leader Magazine
SPRING 1962.
SOCIAL CENTRE GOSSIP.
Once again the Social Centre has been going smoothly. More decorating has been done and all games and equipment are being well used.
Twenty of the "Regulars" spent quite an exciting evening being film stars when the Centre was filmed for "Follow My Lead".
We have had our usual quota of visitors, schoolboys and cadets and the "host" platoons have brought them up to see the Centre and to play snooker, table tennis and darts matches. Matches have also been played against teams from the Officers' Mess and Towyn Youth Club.
A social was held just after half term, on the evening before the Confirmation Service, and the Bishop of Bangor attended with Colonel and Mrs. Lake. All parents, candidates and Company Commanders came up to the Centre for coffee after the service on Sunday morning, when the Bishop met and chatted with everyone.
Dancing classes are fairly well attended and for the last lessons of the series Mr. Francis, the instructor, has been bringing some of the members of the School of Dancing Club to act as partners.
