Hut 208 - Number 1 Platoon Recruit Company.
Richard says that Sgt. Payne assured him that this would definitely be the worst accommodation that he would ever live in - in the army. He’s always hoped to let Sgt. Payne know that it wasn't!!! 'C' Camp, Barton Stacey by FAR exceeded Tonfanau!
He also says that he remembers the hut number as he used to listen to Radio Luxemburg which broadcast on 208 metres medium wave. He would listen to 'The Beatles' who blew his mind and helped him to forget about some of the bad times there!
