| A prisoner is in a room with two guards and two doors. The prisoner is permitted to ask one guard one question, after which he must go through the door of his choice. One doorway leads to certain death, while the other leads to certain freedom. One of his guards - he doesn't know which - always tells lies, while the other always tells the truth. If the prisoner asks the right question, he can logically and positively know which door leads to freedom. What question must he ask? |
